This collection is inspired by the A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas. It began with sunrise hues, and developed into a deeper palette from night itself. Maas' world building in these books goes so deep that it gave me a feel for the atmosphere that I couldn't merely shake off after reading.
